As I type this, Joe is working out a couple of problems that he encountered with the paint. Also, if you remember the first picture on the blog, you would have seen a twisted convertible top mechanism that resembled a piece of junk. Well it was. I had located another one sometime after and disassembled, blasted and repainted it. I had also gone thru maybe 3 used lift cylinder systems until I found one I thought worthy of the project. Tom and I had discussed putting the mechanism in the car before we took it to Joe's place but we never got around to it. Today, Tom and I installed the apparatus and guess what! It works! Pretty neat to see the thing go up and down, just like it's supposed to. I had talked with a place in Ambridge about 2 weeks ago about the fabric. Yesterday he called and said it was in so supposedly, on Monday, Joe is taking it to get the top installed. He will then take it back to his place and finish with the buffing. Wish us luck!!!
